Environmentally conscious materials used
We source 100% canvas material only. Chemicals are used in the manufacturing of all textile products. To minimize the impact of these chemicals on the environment, we have strict requirements on what chemicals can be used in the production process.
Statistical and environmental impact of plastic
Plastic has been in existence since the early 1900s. However, our dependency on plastic had increased drastically with the increase in technology. Our society has become accustomed to having an ‘easy way out’ of things. And that also goes for the easiest and simplest activity of carrying a cloth bag from our homes. China produces about 30% of the world’s plastic, followed by NAFTA at 18% and Europe and Asia at 17%. According to Danish Environmental Protection Agency, plastic bags (Polyethylene) can be reused about 52 times. In contrast, organic cotton will have about 20,000 reuses. It’s time to make small changes in our lifestyles, shift to cotton bags. It is time to change the future.
Plastic impact on marine life
Our planet Earth is home to billions of unique species. For over decades, plastic has been an integral yet harmful part of our lives. Global plastic production reached 381 million tons in2015. While all forms of life are affected, a staggering number of marine lives are lost annually. Our actions and choices impact those voiceless creatures. Part of a sustainable future lies in co-existence. Are you willing to co-exist?
